Home Security Systems?

I’m a new home owner and I am interested in securing my home with an alarm. I was wondering if anyone out there knows of the best or a good company that aids with alarm systems. My home is pre-wired and I’m so wanted a good but affordable company. Any comments – suggestions.. Let me know Please!!!!!!! ***Trying to Put Safety First***

There are several things to take into consideration when choosing a Security Alarm company.

The big national companies often offer free or discounted alarm systems when you pay for the installation costs and sign a long term 36 month Alarm Monitoring contract. Be sure to check the fine print as you may not own the system, it may be a lease. I am not saying this is not a good deal, just be sure to do the math.
For example:

Company #1 gives you the system for free, you pay only $199 for installation. You sign a 36 month contract at $39.99 per month for monitoring. After the 36 months you paid $1638.64.

Company #2 charges for $498 for the system and installation. They charge $24.99 per month for monitoring. After 36 months you paid $1397.64.

You will save $241 by going with Company #2 and you own the equipment. These are just examples and rough estimates of how costs can vary. Both systems will give you an equal level of security. Contact the Security Companies directly for quotes and details. Be sure to take into consideration monthly monitoring costs and the length of the contract term when comparing prices.

Often smaller independent companies can offer the same professional service with lower pricing because they have less overhead. Make sure the alarm company and their installation technicians are licensed and insured.
